Giving Back to Those Who Gave Their All

Azule is a fierce advocate for veteran employment and successful reintegration. We spearhead numerous community initiatives to benefit veterans and their families. Here are just a few of our favorite success stories:

lest-we-forgetWe supported an initiative to train homeless veterans in basic construction skills and provided tools for their new jobs. Another project coordinated employment and transportation for veterans in halfway houses to work seasonal warehouse positions for a Fortune 50 company.

Azule worked with AUSA/US Bank to educate over 250 veteran business owners in all aspects of running a business—from marketing to accounting and legal issues. These entrepreneurs plan on hiring veterans in their businesses.

One woman, “Rachel,” came to Azule looking for an entry-level position. She had housing issues and was using public transportation. Azule found her a job in her neighborhood, connected her with resources to find permanent housing, and advanced a portion of her first paycheck. Rachel’s emotional response was, “Thank you, now I can buy milk.” Today Rachel thrives in her position. She received three raises in her first 90 days and is now in safe, stable housing.

The Azule Foundation

In 2015, Azule formed the Azule Foundation 501(c)(3) in order to coordinate more effectively with the military and other nonprofits. Since its formation, the Azule Foundation has provided housing expenses, tuition scholarships, and other assistance to veterans in crisis. The Foundation’s Azule Academy trains underemployed veterans in crucial job skills for vocational advancement. Training is currently available for cyber security, CNC machining, auto repair, and construction. Azule plans to expand offerings as the Foundation and Academy grow.
